It's was a pretty straight forward & an enjoyable experience; sat outside not to far from the water, drinks came out quick, food came out together shortly thereafter and naturally, so did desert. We order a shrimp cocktail as an appetizer but that never made it to table and pretty much was forgotten about and wasn't realized until the next day because of how good our experience was otherwise. Food was tasty and the burger was insanely filling so no complaints there. Perfect place for a sunny day...stop in and enjoy. ”

So I ordered the shrimp and chips & queso, which was all great. The service was fast and attentive. Since it's close to the beach, parking isn't great, but we were able to self-park for $2. ”

It's also refreshing to have a solid food spot right on Hollywood beach - a lot of the other spots I've tried are tourist traps and really isn't that good, I mean inedible and overpriced. Now is this place Michelin star? Nope, and that's alright. After a beach day, day drinking I want something that's gonna fill me up so no one is asking it to be - my ribs were finger licking and the only reason I didn't finish the fish dip was because I was full. “ This was one of our water taxi stops. It's been many decades since I have been here and it has not changed a bit. Colorful bathtubs lined the sidewalk as you walk up to the dimly lit restaurant. Funny placards at various places throughout the tropical foliage. We were seated quickly at a big wooden table in a corner next to the water. I looked over my shoulder and saw literally 15 burger patties sizzling on the small kitchen grill with two cooks back to back cooking. The burger was simply massive and juicy just as I remembered along with my strong cocktail I was in heaven. This place is a must try for everyone. ”

“ UPDATE: Second time here in many decades. The giant juicy burgers loaded with onions, bacon and jalapenos still taste just as I remember. The dimly lit Key West style restaurant was packed with patrons and the burgers were still cooked on the small grill. The fresh plump shrimp douced in bay seasoning was the perfect appetizer with our cocktails. Our server, Vee, was fun and attentive. Every place you look brings back a great memory of the 1980s. Even the clean bathroom was custom with wooden planks throughout. We took the Fort Lauderdale water taxi to this place during our bar crawl. ”

“ Le Tub is the definition of a themed restaurant. Visually, it's a lot to take in, but that's not a bad thing. Unfortunately they don't take reservations and get super busy at night, no surprise being so close to the Hollywood strip. I put my name on the list and it took about an hour before we could be seated; they have a 10-minute window to be seated after receiving a text your table is ready. It was very, very busy when we were in there and it can be kind of a tight squeeze to get around because of the unique layout. Would be really cool to go during sunset or when it's bright out to see over the bay; we were there past 8pm. The menu is pretty small; we both got burgers and it was annoying that you have to pay extra for fries ... We were staying within walking distance but fair warning there is no parking there. Bathrooms are also actually outside the restaurant; not sure I've ever experienced that before. ”
